Los Bebés de Clau - Lifelike Reborn Dolls
Welcome to my website!
My name is Claudia Águila and I have been a Reborn artist since 2019. I live in Santiago, Chile, and I offer international shipping..
I only work with Original Kits (vinyl and silicone). All the babies you see here were painted by me. My babies are delivered with a Certificate of Authenticity from the sculptor (if provided), my own Certificate of Authenticity as a Reborn Artist, and a Birth Certificate from my nursery.
Since 2024, I have been a member of the RAA (Reborn Artistry Alliance) ✨—a community of artists, sellers, and affiliates in the reborn world committed to authenticity. RAA guarantees that its members work exclusively with original and authentic kits. You can view my RAA profile by clicking the button below.
I have also participated in several contests organized by the RAA, earning multiple first-place finishes and awards. These are some of my prize-winning babies—you can see more in my gallery
What are Reborn Babies?
Reborn babies are handcrafted works of art; they are hyper-realistic dolls designed to mimic every detail of a real baby. Each baby is unique and one-of-a-kind, they are hand-painted in a process that takes weeks to complete. The details range from the tips of their nails to veins and capillaries, birthmarks, scratches, sleep crust (eye discharge), baby acne, milia, and much more! There will never be two reborn babies that are exactly alike.
They can have open eyes, be fast asleep, or even have one eye open and the other closed! Their hair can be painted with a brush... or it can be natural hair, rooted one by one with a needle! Their size can range from miniatures that fit in the palm of your hand to toddlers over 18 months old!
What materials do I use?
I use Genesis®and BC Heat Set Paints for vinyl, and Silc Pig for silicone. Vinyl babies are properly baked between each layer of color and varnish. Silicone babies, on the other hand, are air-dried, varnished, and protected with a matte coat upon completion. In both cases, you can handle your baby without worrying about damaging the paint—it will not come off.
The filling I use for cloth bodies consists of glass beads or quartz sand, along with synthetic fiberfill (poly-fill), to give them a realistic weight and make them feel soft and cuddly when held in your arms.
